Technical Research Assistant – EONANOBIOPS Project

Project: EONANOBIOPS – Essential Oil-Derived Next Generation Nano-Biopesticides for Sustainable Eco-Friendly Agriculture
Funding: Co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme
Location: ANNU Headquarters – Nablus (with possible travel to field sites).
Position Type: Full-time, 12-month contract (renewable based on performance and project needs).
The Technical Research Assistant will support the laboratory, greenhouse, and field operations of the EONANOBIOPS project.
· Assist in preparing and testing essential oil-based and nano-formulated biopesticides.
· Conduct lab and greenhouse bioassays for target pests.
· Collect samples and data in greenhouse and field settings.
· Support the organization and logistics of project trainings and events.
· Coordinate with the research team and stakeholders as needed.
· Maintain lab equipment and manage experimental materials and stocks.
· Record, clean, and organize experimental data under supervision.
· Ensure adherence to ANNU's research protocols and safety guidelines.
· Higher degree in Agriculture, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
· Basic experience in laboratory or greenhouse settings.
· Familiarity with bioassay methods, essential oil extraction, and safe pesticide handling.
· Willingness to conduct fieldwork and operate in variable conditions.
· Proficiency in Excel and basic data entry tools.
· Good organizational and communication skills.
· Excellent command of English and Arabic (spoken and written).
