Description

An-Najah National University is seeking a highly qualified Project Coordinator to join the team working on the project "Establishment of the Palestinian Institute of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law." The university aims to attract talented professionals to enhance its commitment to education, research, and community service.

Contract Type:

Fixed-term, full-time, for the duration of the project (36 months).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • ·         Assist in developing and monitoring the project work plan, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with objectives.
    ·         Oversee the execution of project activities, ensuring compliance with plans and timely completion.
    ·         Collect data, track progress, and prepare reports on project achievements, challenges, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
    ·         Ensure the timely delivery of narrative reports and coordinate with the Financial and Administrative Manager to ensure efficient and timely financial reporting.
    ·         Facilitate communication among all project staff.
    ·         Represent the project in meetings, workshops, and other relevant forums, as required.

Occasional Duties:

  •  Collaborate with project stakeholders to address challenges and ensure the smooth execution of project activities.
  •  Support the preparation and submission of additional documentation as required by the donor or university administration.
  •  Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Project Director to meet project objectives.
  • Participate in project workshops as required.
  • Assist in audit requirements.
  • Support other duties as requested by the PCU director.
  • Close files at year-end and open new files for the subsequent year 

Required Qualifications:

·         Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Law, International Relations or Project Management. Advanced degrees are an advantage.

·         Minimum of 4 years’ experience in projects coordination, preferably with projects funded by international donors.

·         Advanced knowledge of international human rights and international humanitarian law.

·         Experience in planning strategies related to teaching and education of Human rights, IHL, and international law.

·         Excellent experience in networking and building relations with national and international stakeholders. 

·         Excellent organizational and time management skills.

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

·         Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.

·         Willingness to travel within the West Bank and internationally, as needed.

·         Advanced knowledge of English language.
